We are hiring a strategic Supply Chain Manager to join our leadership team. In this role, you will be instrumental in transforming our digital operations, leading our sustainable sourcing and ESG strategies, and strengthening our supply chain resilience.
The Role
You will provide strategic and operational leadership across Strategic Sourcing, Product Development, Demand Planning, and Integrated Business Planning (IBP). You will supervise the Product Development, Purchasing, Production Scheduling, and Demand Planning teams to transition our operations from transactional processes into an agile, data-driven function.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Sourcing & SRM: Transition from transactional purchasing to strategic Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) to drive joint innovation and long-term value.
- Production & Scheduling: Manage production plans and scheduling to optimum levels, balancing labor, materials, and the seasonal nature of the wine industry.
- Inventory & Digital Leadership: Optimize inventory control using data analytics and ERP systems (like QAD) to minimize stockouts and mitigate supply chain risks.
- ESG & Compliance: Actively drive the company’s Environmental Social & Governance policy, focusing on sustainable packaging, reducing our carbon footprint, and ensuring full legislative compliance.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years in Supply Chain, Planning, and Logistics , with 5 to 7 years of dedicated planning/purchasing experience.
- Qualifications: Preferred relevant tertiary degree or production/material management qualifications.
- Skills: Sound contract negotiation and administrative skills ; proven budgeting, forecasting, and data processing capabilities.
- Systems: Strong systems knowledge with experience leveraging data analytics and ERP frameworks.
- Leadership: Demonstrated ability to manage, evaluate, and develop departmental staff.
