Health and Safety Advisor

Based in the Company’s Head Office in the Riverina region of NSW, this position plays a pivotal role in supporting the safety, compliance and risk management functions across several operational sites. This role suits a proactive safety professional who enjoys working closely with operational teams to improve standards, reduce risk and embed a strong safety culture.
The Opportunity
As a key member of the Human Resources Team, you’ll partner with site leaders and frontline teams to provide practical safety guidance, support compliance activities and drive continuous improvement across multiple locations. The role combines on-site engagement, audit activity and advisory support in a fast-paced operational environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day safety support and guidance to operational teams
- Conduct site audits, inspections and risk assessments
- Investigate incidents and support corrective action implementation
- Deliver training and coaching on safety practices and procedures
- Support the application of safety management systems and processes
- Identify hazards and implement controls to reduce risk
- Assist with compliance reporting and documentation
- Promote a positive safety culture across multiple sites
About You
You’ll bring experience in a similar HSE or safety advisory role and be comfortable working across multiple sites in an operational environment.
You’ll ideally have:
- Formal qualification in health and safety or a related discipline
- 5 years + experience in a safety advisory role in a manufacturing or related discipline
- Knowledge of Australian WHS legislation and compliance frameworks
- Experience conducting audits, inspections and incident investigations
- Strong communication and influencing skills
- Ability to engage effectively with frontline teams and leaders
- Knowledge of relevant state-based Workers Compensation programs and processes
- Confidence interpreting and applying policies and procedures
- Valid driver licence and willingness to travel between sites
