Farm Hand - Cropping Operations (Broad Acre Farming)

About us

De Bortoli Wines, one of Australia's leading family-owned and operated wine producers, has diversified its farming operations to incorporate broad acre farming activities including cotton, rice, wheat and livestock production.  We are currently seeking to appoint a Farm Hand to support the expansion of this important area of the business.

About the Role

Located in the Riverina Region of New South Wales, this hands on position reports directly to the Farming Operations Manager and involves a range of activities including: 

• Operation and maintenance of large modern farming equipment
• Assisting with all seasonal farming operations and activities
• Performing irrigation activities and processes
• Maintaining farming equipment infrastructure and equipment
• Working safely and following established WHS procedures

About you

We are seeking a committed and enthusiastic person with the desire to engage in all aspects of broad acre farming operations.  The successful applicant will be required to work within a small team environment, have the ability to take ownership of allocated work tasks, and be prepared to work overtime as the season demands.  Previous work experience in a broad acre farming environment (or similar agricultural role) is essential, as is a strong work ethic and self motivation.
